Hello! I'm Jim Lutomski, a Scottish artist living and working on the Hebridean island of Islay. Like Leonardo da Vinci and others before me, my interests extend beyond paint on paper or canvas. I enjoy sculpting with soapstone or polymer clay and I just love repairing bicycles! I offer a high-quality cycle repair service and have a small fleet of bikes for hire. I'm also a Raleigh cycle dealer and have an ever-changing range of bikes in stock, with models to suit ages 8 months old to adult.
If you are on Islay, I hope you'll find time to call at my studio in the Columba Hall, Port Ellen. Whether you want to look at pictures, try a bike, commission a painting or just have a blether and a cup of tea, you'll be most welcome.
I was delighted to have the opportunity to run the Edinburgh Marathon in May, to raise funds for Christian Aid. I finished in 3 hours and 32 minutes, despite temperatures of up to 25 Centigrade on the day, after weeks of unseasonably chilly weather. Thanks to the generosity of my sponsors, I was able to raise £757 for this excellent cause.
