Hello! I'm Jim Lutomski, a Scottish artist living and working on the Hebridean island of Islay. Like Leonardo da Vinci and others before me, my interests extend beyond paint on paper or canvas. I enjoy sculpting with soapstone or polymer clay and I just love repairing bicycles! I'm also a Raleigh cycle dealer and have an ever-changing range of bikes in stock, with models to suit ages 8 months old to adult.
If you are on Islay, I hope you'll find time to call at my studio in the Columba Hall, Port Ellen. Whether you want to look at pictures, try a bike, commission a painting or just have a blether and a cup of tea, you'll be most welcome.
Once again I'm running for Self Help Africa in the Islay Half Marathon. It's been a joy to return to running and I'm looking forward to this race with more ambition than just making it. Like many distance runners, it's a spiritual experience for me, with practical benefits not just for myself but those I might help. As I dig a little deeper into my reserves, I'd be delighted if you would support me this year.
