Cycling on Islay can be great fun, with varied scenery and abundant wildlife all around. You can see so much more from a bike.
I have a range of quality bikes for hire, and as a cycle mechanic, I can reassure you that they are maintained to a high standard. Safety lighting is included on all bikes. High-powered lighting for longer night rides is available at £10.00. Panniers, etc. can be arranged if booked in advance, and a vehicle bike rack is also available to hire.
I keep a range of helmets to ensure you can find the proper fit.
Rates
- Up to 4 hours - £7.00
- Full day or overnight - £12.00
- Per week - £45.00
- Two weeks - £60.00
Payment may be made by cash, credit/debit card or UK bank cheque. For visitors booking in advance from outside the UK, I can arrange to send a PayPal invoice.

Carol's Cabs taxi service is able to transport bicycles as well as cyclists, so if you get carried away and need a helping hand to get home, you can give her a call on 01496 302155, or 0777 578 2155. She can also provide a service to transport your luggage from the ferry to your accommodation, leaving you free to pick up your bikes and cycle there at your leisure.
